Artisan Frame & Photo Works

Artist's Background
I became interested in photography while a high school student. Over the years, my interests shifted from monochrome to color but my subject matter has remained rather constant: focusing on things that others tend not to see. Current subject matter includes architectural details, old cars and trucks, windows and doors, and reflections.

Several years ago, I traded the “benefits” of a conventional career as a full-time management consultant for the fulfillment of being a photographer and picture framer and a part-time consultant. On most Sundays year-round, I load up my vehicle and set up “shop” at the Eastern Market on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. In 2003, I was one of the artists written up in a Washington Times article entitled “Old Things, New Usages” because of my unique picture frames which are constructed from salvaged wood and old window frames.
